Meet Zee
Founder, Chef & Wellness Advocate
I never imagined I would end up in the kitchen.
My background is in psychology and education, and for many years I thought that would be my path. But when I moved to Australia, I was five months pregnant and longing for the comforting Moroccan food I had grown up with. I searched everywhere but couldn't find the authentic flavours of home, so I started calling my mother, my grandmother, and family members, collecting the treasured recipes that had been passed down through generations.
What began as a craving soon became a passion.
Those family recipes inspired me to become a chef and eventually open Café Zohara in Bondi Beach, where my grandmother's Shakshuka became our signature dish and a local favourite. Through my cafés, Moroccan restaurant, and work as a private chef, I discovered that food has an incredible power to bring people together and create lasting memories.
My passion for helping people feel their best also led me into the world of wellness. As a qualified yoga teacher and wellness coach, I believe that true well-being comes from nourishing the body, calming the mind, and creating moments of connection. Whether through breath, movement, or food, my goal has always been to help people care for themselves from the inside out.
During the Sydney lockdown in 2020, I finally brought these passions together and created Zee's Love in a Jar. From my home kitchen, I transformed my family's Moroccan recipes into a collection of handcrafted pantry staples made with quality Australian ingredients and a simple philosophy: wholesome food should be delicious, easy to prepare, and shared with the people you love.
Today, every jar carries a piece of my journey from my grandmother's kitchen in Morocco to my home in Australia. My hope is that these products inspire simple, nourishing meals, joyful gatherings, and a little more love around the table.
Because I believe that food is more than fuel.
It's connection. It's wellness. It's tradition. And sometimes, it's exactly what makes a place feel like home.
Sharing the LOVE one jar at a time since 2020.
